Over 15 years of experience working across various domains of Information Security , Arijit has extensive experience in leading and running complex programs around application security, ERM/GRC programs of work, IGA platforms and technologies, automations, and risk assurance around IT Internal controls in SOX space. His areas of interests are mostly around how the new age digital technologies are contributing towards new dimensions of digital risks. With a global exposure of working out of various geographic locations, Arijit is also deeply passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion and acts as school governor in his local borough to support the cause and care for the next generations upbringing.

Andrew Briercliffe
Head of Child Safety Online, Protection Group International

Andy is currently the Head of a Child Safety Online Team involved with threat detection and intelligence research for various clients, identifying critical trends and patterns to assist in improving content moderation techniques and enhancing the knowledge areas to tackle the threats and impact on platforms.

Andy has been in the landscape of Online Safety for over 12 years, with a background in specialist Law Enforcement (NCA) dealing with the myriad of harmful reported content. Liaising with all global organisations, law enforcement agencies, charities and NGOs to identify victims and offenders and enhance the capabilities of tackling the prevalence of reported content. His work has included dealing with cyberbullying, hate, graphic content, suicide and self-harm, with a specific knowledge focus on Child Safety and the online sexual exploitation of children. Andy was a CSE Lead at a major global social media company tackling the problems on the front line, including working cross-functionally with other departments, such as product design, legal and policy implementation.

Andy has worked as a Consultant with charities, organisations, law enforcement and tech development companies across the whole landscape of Trust and Safety topics, both on a National and International level.

His knowledge and experience is highly sought after and he currently sits on various committees and forums within the T&S/Child Safety environment and is privileged to liaise with most of the organisations in the UK dealing with Online Safety, such as Ofcom, DSIT, NCA, NSPCC amongst many many others.

Tony Allen
Executive Director, Age Check Certification Scheme

Tony is a Chartered Trading Standards Practitioner with over 25 years experience in age-restricted sales, law and practice. He is the Chair of the UK Government’s Expert Panel on Age Restrictions and Executive Director of AVID Certification Services Ltd, a UKAS-accredited conformity assessment body specialising in age and identity assurance testing and certification. AVID operates the only scheme of its type approved by the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Tony is also the Technical Editor of the current international standard for Age Assurance Systems.

Raj Rajarajan
Professor of Security Engineering, Director, Multidisciplinary Centre of Cyber Security for Society (MOBS), School of Science & Technology

Professor Rajarajan (Raj) is the founding Director of the Centre for Cyber Security for Society at City University of London and the Cyber London Cluster which is recognised by the Department of Science and Innovation in Technology. Raj’s expertise is in the areas of identity management, Cloud Security, network security, privacy enhancing technologies and IoT security.  Raj has led several cyber security and privacy related research and commercialisation projects in the UK and internationally. He has published more than 350 conference and journal papers, four books and holds four international patents in the area of data privacy, continuous authentication, IoT security and cloud security.  He continues to work closely with many deep tech start-ups by translating his fundamental research into commercial security products. He is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), advisory board member of the Chartered Institute of Information Security and also a Visiting Scientist at the British Telecommunications Cyber Security labs, Ipswich, UK.

Sarah Aalborg
CISO & Head of IT Governance, Tivoli

After working in IT for over 25 years, Sarah has become the CISO of Tivoli, a Danish amusement park. Her experience spans from IT support over Security Program Management to IT security.

Over the years, Sarah has been involved in multiple IAM implementations. She specializes in using her knowledge of the human brain and behavioural sciences to gain traction and engagement during the implementation and rollout of IT security controls.

Gareth Narinesingh is a digital identity evangelist with a strong conviction that reusable identity will transform people’s lives for the better. He has 5 years of experience in digital identity sales and product management and before this built his career in regulatory consulting, FCA supervision and various market roles in banking. Gareth now works at the Open Identity Exchange to promote digital identity through a unified voice that represents the OIX membership community. His objective is to support OIX members as they develop early-stage ecosystems and build use cases under new trust frameworks.

Ros Smith is a Senior Technologist in Digital Identity at Ofcom. She has worked at the organisation since September and has previous IAM and PAM roles both as a contractor and as an Executive Product Manager at the BBC. Prior to working in Identity, she worked in Production and Editorial, roles at the BBC, having been a Radio Producer for Science Radio and Woman’s Hour; Deputy Editor of the award-winning BBC News School Report; Project Manager at BBC Media Action and most recently Acting Head of BBC Weather.

Peter is a passionate and dedicated security manager, he strongly believes in the sharing of information and approaches to help each other and the industry progress, to protect ourselves against the common threats we face. He started by implementing an ISMS to comply with ISO27001, and grew into all aspects of information security management over more than 15 years working in various industries such as government, telecoms and finance sectors, implementing risk management and control effective across the organisations. He holds CISSP, CISM and CRISC certification.

Bharat Thakrar
CISO and Principal Security Lead, Information Security Forum

Bharat has over 18 years’ experience in the cybersecurity industry and he was the cybersecurity lead and Head of Cyber Resilience at BT. He now works as a CISO/BISO and board-level advisor. He specialises in cyber risk, incidence response, threat intelligence, IAM, zero trust and engaging CXO’s on cyber scenario planning. Bharat is a regular conference chair/keynote speaker, visiting lecturer on BSc/MSc courses and was consultant and advisor on the UK Cyber Security Council (UKCSC) Formation Programme. Bharat has an MBA from Imperial College and is CISSP certified.

Steven Furnell is a professor of cyber security at the University of Nottingham.  He is also an Honorary Professor with Nelson Mandela University in South Africa and an Adjunct Professor with Edith Cowan University in Western Australia.  His research interests include usability of security and privacy, security awareness and culture, and technologies for user authentication and intrusion detection.  He has authored over 360 papers in refereed international journals and conference proceedings, as well as various books, book chapters, and industry reports.  Prof.  Furnell is the UK representative to Technical Committee 11 (security and privacy) within the International Federation for Information Processing, and a board member of the Chartered Institute of Information Security.
