Michelle Corrigan

Michelle is the Programme Director for Better Security, Better Care Programme – a National Care Association delivered, NHS Transformation Directorate funded, cyber security programme delivered to the adult social care sector. The aim of the programme is to increase the cyber resilience of adult social care providers in England by supporting them to publish and implement the DSPT.

Starting her career in public health Michelle’s career has wound its way all over the health and social care sector. In fact, there are not many services in social care she hasn’t been involved in, from working in large national charities who ‘do it all’ to small bespoke local providers and everything in between. She has built her experience working in operational roles, business development and fundraising, and organisational leadership.

Michelle has led the Better Security Better Care programme since its launch in April 2021 and has more than quadrupled the number of ASC organisations who have published their DSPT since then which means the sector is more ready to tackle cyber issues than ever before. Under Michelle the team won not one but three Cyber Associates Network awards this year and are finalists for 3 x UK Cyber awards including the Cyber Awareness award which really captures the essence of what the Better Security Better Care programme is set out to do.
