Bharat Thakrar
CISO and Principal Security Lead, Information Security Forum

Bharat has over 18 years’ experience in the cybersecurity industry and he was the cybersecurity lead and Head of Cyber Resilience at BT. He now works as a CISO/BISO and board-level advisor. He specialises in cyber risk, incidence response, threat intelligence, IAM, zero trust and engaging CXO’s on cyber scenario planning. Bharat is a regular conference chair/keynote speaker, visiting lecturer on BSc/MSc courses and was consultant and advisor on the UK Cyber Security Council (UKCSC) Formation Programme. Bharat has an MBA from Imperial College and is CISSP certified.

An has 20+ years of experience working in the networking and security industry. He has held senior positions in engineering and architecture roles whilst working for Resellers, MSSP’s and Distributors where he has designed cybersecurity solutions, provided expertise and distilled knowledge to leading enterprises. Ian is now the Senior Sales Engineer for Gatewatcher in the UK and Ireland.

Kevin is an innovative and dynamic security professional, with a passion for driving change by successfully engaging with all levels of the business. He is passionate about the benefits of cognitive diversity as a key ingredient of successful organisations.

He believes that security should be made a key differentiator to drive sales and customer retention, not just a cost centre.

Kevin has been a board advisor to multiple start-ups and industry groups, such as The Cybermaniacs, LT Harper, ClubCISO, and an advisory council member to ISC2 UK. He has previously been the CISO for FNZ Group and JustEat. He’s currently the CISO at NatWest Boxed, a joint venture between NatWest and Vodeno, building the UK’s premier provider of banking-as-a-service, and Mettle, a small business bank account by NatWest.

Ian is the Group CISO at Spectris plc and is responsible for the information and cyber security at a range of unique, diverse and critical businesses across the world. He has worked in a range of industries from bluechip to charity with a track record of successful delivery in security transformation from greenfield to more mature organisations.

Security Story Lead, BT

Cal is a child of the 70s, lured into tech in the 80s by the battle cry of ‘more women in engineering!’ and has survived as the unique one in most meetings ever since. They came out as non-binary in 2021, and are increasingly active in raising awareness of trans and non-binary issues in what is still a very male environment. They are equally passionate about their day job – ensuring BT has a coherent story on the hardest security challenges, which means not just spinning a tale but sponsoring and driving the initiatives that make it robust.

John Scott
Instructor, SANS Institute

John Scott is an instructor for the SANS Institute, teaching classes all around the world on managing human risk, as well as being an international speaker on security culture change. He also works as a cybersecurity researcher, using human behavioural data to drive risk management.

Previously, he worked in a senior security transformation role at BT and was Head of Security Education for the Bank of England for nearly 7 years, running an internationally recognised culture change programme for the UK’s central bank. John’s key passion is the need for security to be a champion of their colleagues, rather than just being the ‘department of NO’. He hates the phrase ‘users are the weakest link.’

He is currently leading the expansion in Europe, Middle East & Africa as the Head of EMEA Vulcan Cyber, managing a team of sales and technical professionals, as well as driving customer engagements with some of the largest companies in the region.

Baldeep Dogra leads Technical Product Marketing within the Product Marketing Group for BlackBerry Cybersecurity. After obtaining his B.Sc. in Astronomy & Physics and postgraduate diploma in Space Technology at UCL, Baldeep has shaped his career in a variety of senior technical consultancy and product management positions in leadership roles with CWC, IBM and IXOS software prior to joining BlackBerry in 2004.  A global technology leader, regular public speaker and now also an MBA, Baldeep is passionate about innovation, emerging technologies and developing teams to achieve success. Baldeep played a pivotal role in the turnaround of BlackBerry as the company transformed from a device-centric organization to a leader in Enterprise software security, risk and privacy management solutions, and now also in Cybersecurity. Baldeep has worked closely with regulatory bodies such as the FCA, anticipating changes in the market and executing on thought leadership.
