Heartbeat Authentication Trialled in Banking

The trial by Halifax, part of the Lloyds Banking Group, has been using the Nymi Band – a wearable piece of technology that can measure the user’s heart rate. Using the customer’s unique heartbeat as security authentication is a first in any sector, never mind for digital financial services but it isn’t the first time a bank has opted for biometrics to provide security.
