Government hopes to improve security within its supply chain

From the 1st October, government contract bidders must comply with the new “Cyber Essentials” controls, involving the handling of personal and sensitive information.

The scheme, developed in consultation with the industry has been said to offer “a sound foundation of basic cyber hygiene measures which, when properly implemented, can significantly reduce a company’s vulnerability.”
