Data centre partner search by Government is worth £700m

A tender submitted by the government in the UK, offers the opportunity for data centre providers to come forward and offer plans to host top secret data.

The total value of the contract, said to be between £50m and £700m gives capable UK data centre companies to the chance to secure and hold this delicate data. The tender specifies that the government will need multiple data centres, it isn’t mentioned whether the chosen provider will need to create new centres.

Join us at both Government IT Security and Risk Management 2014 & Central Government Business and Technology 2014 to discuss the challenges of hosting sensitive data. The events will be held at the Hotel Russell, London on the 24th September & 25th September respectively.

Below David Ainger of Generali Worldwide Insurance talks about protection for sensitive data.
