European Commission: Government should embrace Big Data

Governments should wake-up to the ‘big data‘ revolution according to EU Commission Vice President Neelie Kroes (@NeelieKroesEU). Every single minute, the world generates 1.7 million billion bytes of data, this equates to over 6mb of data per person, per day. Kroes says, “Big Data sounds negative and scary, and for the most part it isn’t. Leaders need to embrace big data.”
