More services have been moved online in Whitehall as an improvement on digital services, it’s drive for efficiency and reform looks to have cut a total of £14.3bn in spending for 2013/14, with digital services alone bringing £200m of savings.
The government claims that the savings have been made in a total of 5 areas. Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osbourne said, “Tackling waste and inefficiency across government is a key part of our long term economic plan.”
