AirWatch, the largestManagement (EMM) provider, and Symplified, the leader in Identity as a Service for the hybrid cloud, have announced a new partnership which will make it easier for businesses to manage application access across native mobile, cloud and on-premises applications and maintain compliance in today’s world. The announcement was made during the event, AirWatch Connect Atlanta 2013.
AirWatch is the world’s largest mobile security and enterprise mobility management provider with more than 8,000 customers and more than 1,400 global associates. Symplified provides single-sign-on, identity and access management, directory integration, centralised provisioning, strong authentication, mobile device support and flexible deployment options. Its technology enables IT organisations to simplify user access to applications, regain visibility and control over usage and meet security and compliance requirements.
Through this new partnership, Symplified and AirWatch will provide single sign-on and user provisioning capabilities pre-integrated into the AirWatch enterprise mobility platform, which can be deployed on premise or in the cloud. AirWatch customers will have centralised control over mobile security and application usage, as well as complete visibility into how mobile, cloud and on-premises applications are being used. With the centralised management console, IT departments can also remotely authenticate and authorise users, manage access and usage policies, and audit activity.
Speaking about the new partnership, John Marshall, president and CEO of AirWatch, told the conference:
“AirWatch and Symplified share a common goal of helping businesses manage and secure the mobile devices and applications that have become critical to their daily operations. Partnering with Symplified allows us to deliver increased value to our customers and enables us to differentiate in an increasingly dynamic market.”
According to Shayne Higdon, president and CEO of Symplified, the new partnership will help to address the growing problem of allowing an increasing number of users access to applications without compromising security and compliance:
“Mobile identity is the next hurdle for businesses as they figure out how to connect a growing number of users to applications from anywhere in the world while maintaining their own security and compliance requirements. AirWatch is at the forefront of enterprise mobility management with a user base that’s growing at a very impressive rate, and we’re extremely pleased to bring our latest mobile identity technology to market with them.”
