Marc Salomon
Dean of Amsterdam Business School & Professor in Decision Science at the University of Amsterdam

Marc is a Board Member of Amsterdam Data Science, Dean/Professor at the University of Amsterdam Business School (ABS) and Director of the MBA in Big Data & Business Analytics. His research interests are in the field of Operations Research with applications to areas such as transport and logistics, marketing and professional service firms.

Prior to joining the University of Amsterdam, Marc was COO at the law firm Stibbe (2004-2013), COO and Director of Research at McKinsey & Company (1998-2004), Director of the Centre for Applied Mathematics at Rabobank (1996-1998) and Professor in Operations Research at Tilburg University (1996 – 2005).

Marc holds Bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Econometrics from the VU University Amsterdam and a PhD in Business & Operations Research from the Erasmus University Rotterdam.

After graduating with a bachelors degree in communications, Jaap-Willem has spent nearly 20 years working in the tech industry. With Qlik for the last 4 years, he is passionate about helping customers integrating and activating their data to optimize every business decision.

Yogesh Kumar is a highly accomplished professional with over 10 years of experience in product management and data science. He holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM Bangalore) and has a proven track record of success in fintech and product roles.

He has a wealth of knowledge and experience in using Big Data Analytics for product management. He is a natural leader, able to motivate and inspire his team to achieve great results.

Currently, he is working as Product Manager at Adyen, and helping in building data platforms.

Senior Research Scientist, TNO

Marc Steen works as a senior research scientist at TNO, a research and technology organization in The Netherlands.

He earned MSc, PDEng and PhD degrees in Industrial Design Engineering at Delft University of Technology.

He is an expert in Human-Centred Design, Value-Sensitive Design, Responsible Innovation, and Applied Ethics of Technology.

Marc’s mission is to support organizations to use technologies in ways that help to create a just society and promote people’s flourishing.

He asks uneasy questions about technologies, especially about the ethics involved in the design and application of algorithms and artificial intelligence.

Marco is CTO and co-founder of IntoDQ2. He is specialized in data quality, metadata management and data governance. Prior to IntoDQ2 Marco was Data Quality Director and Product Management Director both for Precisely, and co-founder of IntoDQ. Marco is working with enterprise clients in the data quality space for 20+ years.

Frank Knot 
Senior Solution Architect, Enterprise, Fivetran

Frank is an Enterprise Solution Architect within Fivetran, supporting its largest customers with adopting the Modern Data Stack with its Cloud Data Platform. After graduating with a Masters degree in Computer Science in the nineties, Frank began his career at PostNL’s IT department in development, integration and architecture. In both professional and management roles. After that, he joined HVR, a startup supplying database replication solutions. He worked in product management, customer success and again architecture. With Fivetran’s acquisition of HVR in 2021, he moved to his current position, supporting both the Fivetran and the HVR product line. Frank has a strong knowledge of data integration following his many years of experience in the market.

Throughout her career, Marta has worked with businesses and governments in multiple countries and enjoys helping others getting into the geospatial world.

Alex Ramirez is the Vertica sales manager for Benelux, Nordics and Baltics. He leads the engagements with the local teams with creating marketing activities, speaking on events about the Vertica solution and qualifying customer needs.

Vertica is the market-leading analytical database, delivering the best value for the highest performance. Any data analytics, at any scale, anywhere.

He has longtime experience in all Micro Focus solutions (ADM, ITOM and Security) and can therefore also help with cross portfolio. Alex has a Security and Industry background along with strong business management skills and experience of working at both regional and WW levels.
