Whitehall Media announces its 4th biannual Big Data Analytics conference

Manchester (UK), 11 October, 2013 – Whitehall Media is proud to announce its 4th biannual Big Data Analytics conference which is to be held on 7 November, 2013 at the Hotel Russell in central London.

Big data is the new and indispensable frontier for competitive advantage. As organisations create and store more information, sophisticated analytics, data mining and advanced visualisations can help unearth valuable insights that would otherwise remain hidden.

Over the course of the past eight years, data in the digital sphere has grown from 130 billion gigabytes to 2.8 trillion. Yet, despite the ever-increasing production of data, not all of it is meaningful. A key challenge for large enterprise and government is to identity how best to harness meaningful data to establish correlations and statistical patterns to innovate, develop and boost performance.

Whitehall Media’s Big Data Analytics conference will feature interactive case studies and live presentations of the most advanced and fastest tools and technologies for the analysis of big data. The main conference programme will feature insightful presentation from key industry leaders on addressing the data scientist gap, using big data to add value to customers and boardroom decisions, as well as how to use Hadoop with existing data strategies among other topics.

With up to 600 delegates expected on the day, attendees will benefit from unrivalled networking opportunities and insights to drive forward their innovation and efficiency saving strategies. Waqas Hashemi, Managing Director of Whitehall Media, says: “This conference is an essential event in the big data calendar. In an information society, large enterprise are pressed to mine their data for actionable and meaningful insights. They are continually having to decipher what makes great analysis and how they ought to code and secure their data in a way that protects the end-user. Attendees at our upcoming event will benefit from learning about emerging and changing trends in this fast-moving area, and be able to engage with their industry community locally and globally.”

Platinum Sponsors for the event include Pentaho, Teradata and Dell.
