Yahoo Plans To Do Away With Passwords

IT experts have been kept busy over the last decade or so by attempting to find a viable alternative to passwords. For companies providing services over the internet and also within enterprises, password reliance has always been a concern, they can be targeted and overcome quiet easily.

In the United States, the internet giant is shifting towards a system of one-time authentication codes sent via SMS, banks have used this additional step for some time now fulfilling one key test for multi-factor authentication: something you know, something you have and something you are.
